Congratulations.

I think Harvie Krumpet won grand prix at MIFF too.

So keep your fingers crossed.

I still haven’t even seen the lost thing but Ive been curious about it for years now. I tried to go at MIFF but the session was all booked out. itching to see it now. I was a melbourne based animator (though I live about 4 hours west of melbourne now) and its great to see local films taking out the prize in a local festival (I did win bst animation at miff one year and was pretty chuffed about that but grand prix is a step up again). Well done.

Congratulations on a well-deserved win for The Lost Thing.

It’s great to see an animated film take out an award that’s not just limited to the animation medium.

As Brad Bird is fond of saying: “Animation is a medium, not a genre.”

But now it also makes me want to see Angry Man even more.

Nice to hear from you man,

This was done with photoshop cs3, which supports animation layers, along with the regular ones. Im not sure if versions prior to this one support animation layers. Photoshop is pretty cool for small pieces, but I imagine it wouldn’t handle longer shots too well. But definitely give it a red hot go my friend!!

I could show you the finished work, which is a Utah Teapot 160×120cm at 160×120 pix 1 dot per centimetre.

But I sold it and havent got around to doing a fresh canvas, but I still have the stencils

hey bro, great foto’s man. i lurve, lurve, lurve the colours. you don’t get that with digital. i especially like the colours and tones in the two riverside shots. the cars also look so knarly, the colours work so well with the era of the car. great snapping!
