My name is Leo Baker. I am a film animator and visual effects artist based in Melbourne, Australia, working on both local and international productions. Previously, I worked for several years as a freelance camera assistant in the motion picture industry. My other creative pursuits embrace photography, painting, carpentry, travel, surfing and music. So this site is a bit of a junkyard of all of these interests. Hopefully you can narrow down what interests you through the categories or tags on the site.

current projects

Currently I am working on the short film adaptation of Shaun Tan’s picture story book, The Lost Thing. I am part of a small team of people for Passion Pictures Australia, who are bringing this tale to life in a 15 minute short. The film is almost complete, and is expected to be out sometime early next year. It will do a world film festival circuit and then eventually be available on dvd. I will be posting information about the film’s release, so watch this space!
